Version Summary

This policy guide was updated from the 03/04/13 version, as part of the Policy Redesign, in accordance with the DCFS Strategic Plan.

POLICY

Time Frames for Submission of Court Reports

Time frames for submission to court are mandated by law or by the Juvenile Court. Time frames for SCSW review and the Court Processing Unit (CPU) processing are recommended guidelines to ensure timely submission of court reports.

If the court has ordered receipt of the report earlier than the hearing date, the time frame for submission of reports to Juvenile Court Services (JCS) and the court is based on the date of the receipt of the court report, not the hearing date.

The time frame for providing notice to parties may differ from the time frame for submitting the report to court.
